Christen McCreavy grew up in Doylestown, PA and currently resides there. Since childhood, she has taken art and dance classes in the Bucks County community and after high school decided to pursue a degree in the arts. She attended Lock Haven University and graduated in December 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art.

After college, she enrolled in the Niko Chocheli School of Fine Arts which is based on the principles and practices of the Western Academies of Art. Studying under Mr. Chocheli, Christen received a Classical Education; step-by-step training based on the teaching, styles, and techniques of great masters such as Leonardo, Michelangelo, Rubens, Rembrandt, Chardin and Corot. She is still attending classes and mastering her art techniques while experimenting with unique styles of painting and drawing. Christen credits Niko’s mentorship, friendship, and guidance with advancing her artistic abilities.

With a love for children’s book illustrations, Christen continued her studies and attended Hollins University Graduate School in Roanoke, Va. where she received her Certificate in Children’s Book Illustration in July 2021.

She is an avid traveler and while at Lock Haven, studied Art in Paris and London. She has also toured throughout Italy stopping in Florence and Rome to visit the Uffizi Gallery and the Vatican. She also visited historic art venues in both Ireland and Scotland. This summer she is planning a trip to Spain and Portugal.

Christen is a member of various art organizations such as The Doylestown Art League, The Michener Museum and The New Hope Arts Center. She is also a member of SCWBI which stands for the Society of Children’s Writing and Book Illustration.

Currently she enjoys collaborating with clients to create custom art pieces and is also writing and illustrating her first children’s book.
